I am an ITEC qualified Massage Therapist. I became self-employed in 2007 & currently work as a complementary therapist at Gilmour & Piper, an osteopathy & healthcare practice in Ipswich as well as in BodyWorks, a chiropractors in Wakes Colne near Colchester. I also fill the rest of my time studying TCM acupuncture & Pamper Parties, Commercial work depending on availability.
As a member of the CNHC & NHS Directory or Complementary & Alternative Practitioners I view massage not purely as luxury pampering but as a necessity for health to be maintained. The reduction of stress in a persons life can have a noticeable effect mentally, physically and emotionally. Such issues as depression, insomnia, headaches and tension can have a huge impact on you, without you necessarily noticing it yourself.
I am not in the business to force massage/reflexology/complementary therapy onto anyone but this is something that I feel can benefit anyone and everyone at some level.
